Mark R. Kelley serves as Provost and Professor of Biblical Studies at Compass Bible Institute. He completed his Ph.D. in Biblical Theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2023. He also holds a Master of Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts from The Master’s University. Dr. Kelley has taught courses at CBI since 2020.
In addition to his role at CBI, Dr. Kelley serves as a staff pastor at Compass Bible Church in Aliso Viejo. He and his wife, Bethany, were married in 2006 and have four children.
Dr. Kelley is Chair of the Johannine Literature Section of the Evangelical Theological Society and a member of the Institute for Biblical Research and the Society of Biblical Literature.
