Professor Blakey grew up a pastor’s kid in Southern California before earning a bachelor’s degree from The Master’s University. He is currently completing the Master of Divinity program at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Professor Blakey was a staff pastor at Compass Bible Church, Aliso Viejo, for eight years, and he has served as the lead pastor of Compass Bible Church, Huntington Beach, since its founding in 2014.

Professor Blakey is married to Christa, and they have three children: Tyler, Emma, and Jack.
