Professor Gomez graduated from Biola University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership and completed a Master of Divinity at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Professor Gomez served on the pastoral staff at Compass Bible Church, Aliso Viejo, for seven years before helping to found Compass Bible Church North Texas in Frisco, TX, where he currently serves as associate pastor.

Professor Gomez has been married to his wife, Kristin, since 2008, and they have five kids.
