Professor Atterbury is a Southern California native. He received a bachelor’s degree in Bible and theology from California Baptist University and a master’s degree in theology from Talbot School of Theology. Professor Atterbury served in a variety of pastoral positions before joining the staff at Compass Bible Church, Aliso Viejo, in 2018.

Professor Atterbury has been married to his wife, Kelli, since 2009 and has two daughters, Alli and Emmi.
